Sushi Creek
About This Spot
Stepping into Sushi Creek feels like finding a calm oasis tucked away in Queen Creek’s suburban bustle. The atmosphere is easy and unhurried, with a thoughtful balance of elegant simplicity and inviting warmth. Soft, ambient lighting casts gentle shadows over the Oriental-inspired décor, setting a comfortable stage for both casual meals and quieter evenings out. Whether you settle in at the bar or claim a cozy table, the space encourages a relaxed pace where conversation flows as naturally as the sushi arrives.
What stands out here isn’t just the freshness of the fish or the care in rolling each bite, but the understated way the kitchen showcases familiar favorites alongside imaginative creations. There’s a quiet confidence in the menu’s embrace of both playful and traditional flavors — from the crisp snap of freshly fried pickles to the delicate layers of a Caterpillar Roll, each dish invites savoring, not rushing. Pairing these with thoughtfully selected drinks, like a crisp Asahi or a perfectly balanced house sake, rounds out the meal with ease and comfort.
Service at Sushi Creek is attentive without being intrusive, reflecting a genuine wish for guests to enjoy their experience fully. It’s the kind of place where a simple bowl of miso soup can feel like a little pause, a moment of calm among the day’s rhythm. The team’s careful approach extends to accommodating dietary needs, which makes this corner of Queen Creek a reassuring find for diners seeking gluten-free or lighter options without compromising on flavor.
For those who know their sushi, this spot quietly holds its own with fresh ingredients that recall seaside freshness, but without any hint of pretense or fuss. And for newcomers, it offers a welcoming introduction to the art of Japanese dining, grounded in authenticity and the pleasure of shared moments. In all, Sushi Creek gently unfolds as a neighborhood gem—a place that rewards both the quick weekday lunch and a lingering weekend dinner with friends or family.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5 Stars We went to Sushi Creek tonight after a friend recommended it, and we’re so glad we did! We’re pretty avid sushi people and tend to stick to our usual spots, so we weren’t sure what to expect—especially after seeing some mixed reviews. But honestly, everything was great! The food was fresh, flavorful, and way better than we expected. The standout of the night was definitely Mark at the bar. He was fantastic—welcoming, attentive, and made the whole experience even better. Great service all around. We’re really glad we gave this place a chance. We’ll definitely be back!

The food here was absolutely amazing. Honestly, I don’t understand why this place is so underrated. The fish was incredibly fresh and full of flavor, the kind of quality you expect from a true seaside town and this spot delivers it better than most. The service was attentive and timely, and every dish was seasoned and prepared perfectly. Coming from a coastal area, I can confidently say this is some of the best-quality seafood I’ve had in a long time. Highly recommend! Also, Diana is amazing bartender!!!

I’ve been to this sushi spot twice now, both times during happy hour, and honestly, I’d give it a solid 4 stars. The first visit was kind of funny—my sushi rolls were small and cute, almost like they belonged in a bento box for kids. But hey, for five bucks, who’s complaining? The second time though, the rolls came out full-sized and that made a huge difference. Same good taste, better value. Service was great both times—friendly, quick, and attentive without hovering. The sushi itself was fresh and vibrant, with that clean, green-tinted seaweed and presentation that makes you feel like you’re eating something straight out of a Tokyo side street (not that I’ve ever been, but that’s the vibe). The tempura was light, crispy, and perfect—no soggy batter or heavy oil taste. Then there were these jalapeño poppers that might be the best I’ve ever had anywhere. Only downside: you don’t get many for the price. Still, they were worth every bite. The place has this dark, almost moody atmosphere, but it feels intentional and kind of stylish. It gives off that minimalist Japanese aesthetic—simple, neat, and slightly mysterious. Prices overall weren’t bad at all, especially considering the quality. Happy hour definitely makes it worth the trip, as long as you get those normal-sized rolls instead of the tiny ones. Between the great service, solid sushi, and those unforgettable poppers, this is one sushi spot I’ll keep coming back to.

One of my favorite restaurants and for several reasons! The ambiance hits you right away... A unique set up for the bar, table & chairs with an Oriental flavor. Great service with edamame beans servied first thing. The lunch menu makes your meal extremely affordable with authentic dishes on the menu and tons of food! Guaranteed a truly delightful experience for your own relaxation or as a treat for your friends! Today I had the bento box with calamari and veggie tempura that included white rice, a wonderful Miso soup and salad! Plus foods to take home! Great folks who work hard to make your dining experience a joy!

My boyfriend and I were trying to find a place that was open to fill our miso soup craving that was gluten free and so happy we found this place! We called and asked about their gf options and they have a limited menu, but they take precautions. I’m a very sensitive celiac so I haven’t felt any cross contamination from gluten or anything yet which is a plus. I got the miso soup and crab roll. It tasted delicious!! They even have gf soy sauce. I didn’t see the reviews on the FindMe GF App until I was about to click to write my review, but I would say that they’ve taken precautions with my food.

The place is okay, not great, not bad either. They do have a happy hour menu and "I hate sushi" menu for those who don't care for fish. Wasabi is spicy (which is good), quail eggs are good, and rolls are decent. The rolls are definitely on the small side. Place could use some deep cleaning and make over as the booths you can feel the springs, which is not very comfortable.

We have been going to Sushi creek for YEARS. They are so nice and accommodating. We can’t eat sesame and they are always willing to make new rice with sesame for the sushi rolls. The food is excellent! We highly recommend the Jalapeno poppers. So good! And the rolls are too good to list all our favorites.

After driving 7 hours, we stopped at Sushi Creek, and it did not disappoint! We were starving, and everything we ordered was absolutely delicious. Our waitress was amazing — super friendly and kept our drinks full the entire time. We got so much food for a great price, and the portions were generous. Overall, very impressed and would definitely stop here again!
